Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These terms govern your use of PageLens, including the website at pagelens.io, the dashboard at app.pagelens.io and the tracking script ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you use PageLens on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.

2. Your account

• You must provide accurate information and keep your sign-in details secure.
• You are responsible for activity under your account and for the teammates you invite.
• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• install the tracking script on websites you don't own or aren't authorised to measure;
• send personal data such as names, email addresses, phone numbers or government identifiers to PageLens in page URLs or custom events;
• use the Service to identify, profile or follow individual visitors;
• use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to send spam, malware or abusive traffic;
• attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the Service.

4. Your websites and your visitors

You remain responsible for your websites and for complying with the laws that apply to them, including keeping an accurate privacy notice that mentions your use of PageLens. PageLens processes visitor data on your behalf as described in our Privacy Policy. Whether a consent banner is required can depend on your jurisdiction and on what else your website does; please seek your own legal advice.

5. Your data

You own the analytics data collected for your websites. We use it only to provide the Service to you. You can delete a website and all of its data at any time from the dashboard.

6. Plans, pricing and payment

PageLens offers a free plan and paid subscription plans (currently Pro and Business), billed monthly or yearly. Current prices and plan limits are listed on our pricing page. Plan limits include the number of websites and the number of events (pageviews, custom events and outbound link clicks) per calendar month.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns, and payments are subject to Paddle's buyer terms. Prices are shown in USD and may be converted to your local currency; sales tax or VAT is added where required.

• Renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
• Changes: you can upgrade or downgrade at any time; changes are prorated.
• Cancellation: you can cancel at any time from the billing page. You keep access to your paid plan until the end of the current billing period, after which your account moves to the free plan.
• Limits: if you exceed your plan's monthly event limit we will continue collecting data and notify you so you can upgrade; collection for a website may pause if it reaches twice its plan limit.
• Price changes: we'll give you at least 30 days' notice before changing the price of an existing subscription.

7. Refund policy

If you're not satisfied with a paid plan, you can request a full refund within 14 days of the payment by emailing hello@pagelens.io or contacting Paddle through the link on your receipt. Refunds are processed by Paddle to the original payment method. After 14 days, payments are non-refundable, but you can cancel at any time to stop future charges. This does not affect any statutory rights you may have as a consumer.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep PageLens fast and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may add, change or remove features; we'll give notice of changes that significantly affect you where reasonably possible.

9. Termination

You can stop using PageLens and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or put the Service or other users at risk.

10. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of statistics.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PageLens will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 100 if you paid nothing.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll change the date at the top of this page and notify customers of material changes. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
